Easter Week camp

Every year, this activity is held in the community of Cabo Pulmo with young people from San José and San Lucas, aged 18 and over, coming from Building Baja’s Future (BBF), a non-profit organization committed to helping train and empower young people with dreams. They are determined to overcome the adverse conditions of their environment, take advantage of the opportunities that BBF provides so that they can reach their full potential as individuals and as leaders in their community.

For 3 days and nights camping in the community, they learn about different topics such as water, wetlands, whales, turtles, among others with the purpose of transmitting what they learned to children of Cabo Pulmo through dynamics, outdoor activities and games.

The challenge is to make tourists, children and young people of the community aware of the benefits that the different ecosystems that exist in the area bring to the people who live on the site, the species that inhabit them, the importance of separating waste, as well as the importance of having clean water on the reef. Tourists vacationing on the beach are given information about some techniques to avoid leaving a trace and they are invited to take with them the garbage that they generated during their stay so that the beach is as clean as possible.
